Endometrial Cancer
Endometrial Cancer is a cancer that develops in the womb, a hollow organ that is located in the lower abdomen. The wall of the womb is comprised of an inner lining (known as Endometrium) as well as of outer layer (known as myometrium). Endometrial Cancer occurs in the inner lining of the uterus. It has been seen that in the U.S., every year near about 37000 cases are registered and approximately 6000 women die from the cancer. An important fact is that the incidence of the cancer increases significantly after menopause

Although, the main cause of the uterine cancer is still unknown, excessive chronic exposure to estrogen may increase the risk. Estrogen is referred to as female hormone that is produced by the ovaries. Assorted below are some factors that increase the estrogen exposure:
- Late menopause
- Beginning of menstruation below the age of 12 years
- Low parity or nulliparity

Endometrial Cancer is generally considered as asymptomatic. But, some women may experience some symptoms. Some of the most common symptoms of the condition are:
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Abnormal vaginal discharge
- Trouble in urination
- Pelvic pain
- Pain during intercourse
